All participants must complete a mandatory safety
program.
Feed and care for the animal at all times.
- Be responsible for all expenses associated with the
animal (vet, feed etc.). If financial assistance is necessary
participant should contact a CODY committee member as soon as
possible.
- Assume all liability of the animal. In the event of
death of the animal the participant is not liable for the animal
unless the death is determined to be animal neglect.
- Show the animal in at least two county fairs of choice
prior to the Heart of Missouri Limousin Breeders Association sale.
Participant
must have the animal ready for the sale by 12:00 noon Saturday before
the sale.
Animal must be groomed and ready for the sale no later than 8:00a.m.
on sale day.

Write a “Thank You” letter to the donor of
the C.O.D.Y. animal.
- Write a letter to the C.O.D.Y. Program Committee
describing your experiences while participating in the C.O.D.Y.
project.
- Assure initial contact with the donor, 45 day farm
visit by donor and a farm visit by the donor 45 days prior to sale
day. These visits are to be logged in your record book and signed by
donor at the time of the visit.
- Participant must complete their animals record keeping
book and have it signed the day of the sale by a C.O.D.Y. committee
member.
